Over ten years of power and success in the market
Brothers Dirk und Ralf Schönbohm founded BSS heavy machinery in Finowfurt near Berlin in 2007. With only a handful of machines, the company – not least thanks to an excellent dealer structure – now has constant access to around 500 construction machines and commercial vehicles worldwide to fulfil specific requirements. The company has been internationally active from the beginning, and has overseen large projects in areas such as Russia, and within Europe, Asia and Africa.

Company development through two industry experts
The Schönbohm brothers have many years of experience in the construction machinery industry. Dirk Schönbohm is a well-connected, active expert in the machine and plant business, who is the sales and distribution manager and the first point of contact for customers. Before taking over BSS heavy machinery’s Finance and Administration department, Ralf Schönbohm, Diplom-Betriebswirt (degree in Business Administration) specialised in transport management and logistics, had already worked for leading industry firms and dealt with complex domestic and international logistics projects.

There are currently nine members of staff in the core team: five qualified technicians, who also provide on-site dismantling and assembly, and four administration staff to monitor complex logistical projects. Heavy goods logistics requires considerable experience, expertise and diligence in dealing with equipment.
